One for the archives! While replacing the outer protective lens on a DeLaval V300 is a fairly frequent task, seeing the actual inner camera lens break is a first for us.
We've had the odd adhesive bond failure in the past, but a shattered inner lens is rare. The DeLaval dealer advised the farmer that the entire camera system would need replacing at a cost of £7,000-£8,000. Fortunately, we were able to successfully refurbish the camera and get the system back online, saving the farmer a substantial amount.
